Not sure whether this works for Concepts or Designs, but feel free to move it if it doesn't fit.
Anyway, this thread is just for random level or concept ideas. Here's an idea:
Tanooki Highlands
This largely spread-out level takes place in the skies in the high tree-tops, where an entire civilization of Tanookis live and swing around the treetops. Yoshis are very common here.
As you can tell, this is a very simple, few-sentence idea. If you post an idea you wish to do, you can start a whole thread for it in the Designs board and flesh it out more there.
So yeah, just a random idea I had.

Sounds cool. Maybe we could use my Racoon ears and tail to create them.

Here's a few other ideas I had from the SMS forums...

Here are two ideas of mine:
Cheep Cheep Lagoon.
Located right by Noki Bay. It's surrounded by a thick forest of Bamboo & Palm Trees. There are many structures made out of Bamboo & Palm Leaves to protect the islanders from the heat. There is also a beach by the front of the level, and an under water cave with air in it. A little bit into the Jungle is a small mountain, which allows you to see over Cheep Cheep Lagoons Forest and Beach.
Noki Cave
A level supposed to be hidden from most Islanders. Mario is only granted access here by one of the elder Nokis to save his Grand Son after he got lost in there. The levels is supposed to be more dark and murky, and has many strange Rock formations and carvings into the walls. It's supposed to be a half underwater half above water place full of eels and things like that.

What about this?
Groya Grotto A lush, and verdant grotto area dotted with deep springs populated by malevolent electric eels. The delfino islanders have made few trips to this hidden sanctuary, as the crackling tails of said eels usually result in a trip to the hospital for everyone present.
To secure the shines that abide here, mario must jump, spray, dive, and dash his way through many frighteningly channeling obstacle courses that exist both on land and below the water's clear surface.

Good idea!
With how many levels we have to replace + The number of levels we CAN replaces, and the fact that all of these ideas are good, AND I'm very good at 3D Modeling, all pf these levels are in! (As far as my power goes, anyway) I still don't know if I cam decide that yet...
But, in order for each level to have the original 8 missions, we'll need to use three level slots per level, which means 3 + 3 + 3 = 9, which will allow us to add one extra mission per level!

Awesome!
Check this out:
Groya Grotto
Episode 1: Down the Drain Mario arrives at the grotto, and must swim down a gigantic drain pipe to destroy the fat eel that's clogged it up.
Episode 2: Red Coins in the Grotto As the title states, Mario must traverse the verdant landscape in search of eight red coins.
Episode 3: The Hot Spring's Secret Mario Must dive to the bottom of a sleeping Pianta's hotspring in search of a portal to a bizarre secret level that hides the shine.
Episode 4: The Deep The objective of this level is quite simple. Dive to the bottom of the deepest spring, and retrieve the shine. barely any sunlight reaches the bottom, so it's hard to see, and Mario must continually consume coins to survive.
Episode 5: High-Flying Eel Fortress A massive flying fortress blots out the sun! Mario must use a gigantic spring board to rocket up to the clouds and put an end to this threat.
Episode 6: Brush Your Teeth, Eely-Mouth! This stage marks the return of what was in my opinion one of the creepiest bosses of SMS. Eely-Mouth!
Episode 7: Shadow Mario at large Mario must chase shadow mario through the grotto, avoiding the puddles of electrifying goop that lay here and there.
Episode 8: Chain Chomp's High Dive Chain Chomp has fallen off the high dive and sunk to the bottom of the spring! Mario must swim down and pull him back up to the surface. It's a good thing he doesn't need to breathe, for the Chomp might be down there awhile.
Episode 9: Ray-Surfing in Style A extremely difficult obstacle course has been set up around the grotto's main spring, and mario must complete it to secure the shine.

You do know that this is a SMG2 hack, right?
Do you think we could re-create all of those objects?
Well, we'd have to anyway.
(100 coins/Red coins in secret levels don't count as missions)
Here are Episode 9s I've designed for some current levels:
Bianco Hills,
Episode 9: Petey Piranha's Pipe Underworld
As an expansion to Bianco Hills, the more Hilly sections have windmills and paths. You now have access to the lake bed by the second Petey Piranha battle.
You begin out as normal. All of the piantas are frantice because the little boy & girl piantas have been kidnapped by Petey Pirahna. They direct you towards the lake by the second battle. The cave leads to a "Pipe Underworld" deep underground, infested with different types of piranha plants from SMG & SMS. At the end Petey Piranha is battled, and the little Piantas are saved, and you are rewarded with a Shine Sprite.
Ricco Harbor,
Episode 9: Lil' Pianta Lost
As an expansion to Ricco Harbor, the upper mountain are has houses, and some of the construction is alreadu built into a building.
A Pianta is upset because her Daughter went to go play in the construction zone even after she told her not to. Now, she can't even find her. She offered the award of a Shine Sprite to anyone who could return her safely in the dangerous construction zone. During this level, may frantic Piantas are looking for her so they can claim the reward. Your job is to retrieve her, and guide her along the rails and avoid falling & obstacles to bring her back safely. Once she's okay, her mother gives you the Shine Sprite.

This is a SMG2 hack? Oh... yeah, that'd make sense, wouldn't it?
Well, now that that's out of the way, what do you guys think of my ideas?

Toad's Factory (the MKWii course) should definitely be ported here. Mission 1: SMG2 uses races against Jibberjays in Wild Glide Galaxy, and I've heard talk of porting the ray from SMG1 for a kart so it would be possible to have a race on Toad's Factory as the first mission, with 1st place in the race awarding the player a shinesprite Mission 2: The machine that creates item boxes for the Toads has malfunctioned and scattered their boxes everywhere, Mario has a time limit before they miss their delivery deadline (maybe using model hacked music notes to look like item boxes in a sort of challenging-to-follow pattern leading to a delivery truck at the end) Mission 3: You arrive to discover a Toad saying that the factory has recently started manufacturing Fludd, but something went wrong and they all became activated on the production line. Mario must run (without a vehicle) around the factory (covered in Fludd firing water everywhere making Mario slip and get pushed into the water) in a hunt for the four mains power switches to shut down all the machinery (stopping the Fludd in the process). When this happens an enemy (dunno what) would appear and claim he is responsible for the malfunctioning Fludd in the factory, a short fight would leave Mario victorious and the enemy would run away - turning the power back on and leaving the Fludd deactivated again. This mission would require the model to be edited slightly to add more areas than the MKWii course in order to function. Mission 4 (secret star..? I dunno exactly how it worked in Sunshine): locating a hidden pipe, Mario is taken to an area deep inside the factory where he finds a Gearmo (or another Toad if Gearmos are banned in this project) who says "Those Toads outside get all the credit for supplying their precious item boxes, but who does all the hard work around here?? ME! I'm forced to hurry to hit my delivery deadlines, and as a result I've spilt itembox fluid everywhere! Hey, think you could help me out? If the other Toads see I've spilt so much of it I could be in trouble" This mission assumes that the F.L.U.D.D device used to clean up paint in SMS will be present, in which case Mario must clean the large room of the liquid used to create itemboxes before the time runs out. Success will result in a shinesprite. There is a lot of potential with this level but I was advised it would be strongly rejected for Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 as it is not based in space or on a planet small enough to be used within the game, therefore I have posted it here instead. I really hope you guys like my ideas (if someone for SMG2.5 sees this and decides it would be better there then that's fine too), I have plenty more ideas if you like this one

Please don't be offended or anything, but I hate it. (not the stages but Toad's factory as whole) To be honest.......I think Toad's factory should definetly not be in SMS Wii. Sure I like it too in Mario Kart Wii, but it doesn't fit... It just doesn't fit for me. Coconut Mall could be included, but not Toad's factory. Kart Races and Item Boxes don't fit at all in a Super Mario Sunshine game. I think it fits More in Super Mario Galaxy 2.5... Maybe it could be used if we redesigned to to a Fludd factory and that would be the place where Luigi gets his FLUDD?
Nice Ideas, but.......I don't like them much.... This is only my opinion though so it may still be in, depends on what the others think.
But if it gets included then PLEASE NO ITEM BOXES OR KART RACES!!!! We already have those horrible CT names and now this? This is starting to look like a Mario Kart/Mario Sunshine crossover. This is a SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE GAME, We don't need that many Mario Kart Wii cameos in the game!

You wouldn't actually USE the item boxes! They would be model hacked music notes that is all. It would simply be a way of referencing another game in the franchise, I am in no way attempting to turn this into a MKWii crossover 3. I tried to make it as relevant to SMSWii as possible so I'm sorry if I failed in doing that but if you have any better ideas to make it work for SMG2.5 then please share

It would only possibly fit if you turned it into a FLUDD Factory or something like that. I know you won't use the item boxes! But they still don't fit. Even if you're just collecting them as music notes. They Just don't fit. And KART RACING??? That doesn't fit at all, even if it's just an edited manta ray. I'm not trying to offend you or anything but that's just how I feel. I know it was rejected for SMG2.5, but I think it fits more there. I think this will probably be rejected too unless we go REALLY desperate for levels..... Sorry
